What is the NextGen Saver?

The NextGen Saver is a modern savings account designed for young adults ages 14-28. It helps you build strong saving habits while earning a higher interest rate on your money without any unnecessary fees or complexity.

Who is eligible for the NextGen Saver Account?

Anyone who is 14 to 28 years old.

What interest rate can I earn?

You can earn up to 5.25% APY* on balances up to $2,500 when monthly qualifications are met.

What are the qualifications to earn the high interest rate?

Simply complete 15 debit card swipes on your linked CS Bank checking account AND deposit at least $100 into your NextGen Saver each month.

Are there any monthly service fees?

When you sign up for eStatements, the NextGen Saver account is completely free!

Do I have to pay for paper statements?

Yes, if you choose to receive paper statements rather than eStatements, you will be charged $7.50 each month.

Is the $25 bonus just a one-time offer?

Yes. The $25 bonus is a one-time bonus after the first 90 days of qualifications are met.

It’s Easy to Qualify For Rewards

To earn your rewards, the following transactions and activities must post and settle during each Monthly Qualification Cycle:

* At least 15 PIN-based or signature-based debit card purchases on the linked checking account.

* At least $100 deposited into the Next Gen Saver account.

That’s it. Even if you don’t qualify one month, don’t worry — your account is still free, and you’ll still earn our base interest rate. Plus, you can get right back to earning your full rewards the very next month!

*Qualifications Information: Account transactions and activities may take one or more Business Days to post and settle to the account and all must do so during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in order to qualify for the account’s rewards. The following activities do not count toward earning account rewards: ATM-processed transactions, debit card purchases processed by merchants and received by our bank as ATM transactions, and purchases made with debit cards not issued by our bank. Transactions bundled together by merchants and received by our institution as a single transaction count as a single transaction for the purpose of earning account rewards.

Reward Information: When your NextGen Saver account qualifications are met during a Monthly Qualification Cycle, (1) Balances up to $2,500 receive APY of 5.25%; and balances over $2,500 earn 0.50% interest rate on the portion of balance over $2,500, resulting in a range from 5.25% to 0.50% APY depending on the account’s balance and (2) You will receive a one (1) time credit of $25 to your Next Gen Saver account as a bonus after 90 days when qualifications are being met.

When NextGen Saver qualifications are not met, all balances in the account earn 0.50% APY and no $25 bonus will be deposited to your NextGen Saver account. Interest will be credited to your NextGen Saver account on the last day of statement cycle. APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APYs accurate as of 3/2/2026. Rates and rewards are variable and may change after account is opened. Fees may reduce earnings.
